Privacy policy
Who we are
Profitry is operated by Kila Enterprises Pty Ltd, Brisbane, Australia ("Profitry", "we", "us"). Profitry helps ecommerce businesses optimise their Google Ads and Google Merchant Center accounts for profit. For anything about this policy, contact us at privacy@profitry.com.au.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it and the choices you have. It applies to the Profitry website at profitry.com.au and the Profitry application.
Information we collect
- Account details. Your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash), and the workspace you belong to.
- Google Ads data. When you connect a Google Ads account we read account, campaign, ad group, keyword, search term, product, budget, bidding and conversion data, including cost and revenue figures.
- Google Merchant Center data. When you connect a Merchant Center account we read product feed data, product attributes, listing status, disapprovals and performance data.
- OAuth tokens. The access and refresh tokens Google issues so Profitry can act on your behalf. See "Storage and security" below for how these are protected.
- Billing information. When paid plans launch, your billing name, address and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by Profitry.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and timestamps, collected through server logs and strictly necessary cookies that keep you signed in.
How we use Google user data
We use information received from Google APIs only to provide the Profitry features you choose to use. In practice that means:
- Analysing your campaign and product performance and calculating profitability.
- Producing an audit and ongoing recommendations for your accounts.
- Applying changes to your Google Ads or Merchant Center accounts, but only when you approve a specific recommendation or enable automation for that type of change.
- Showing you reports and a log of every change made.
Profitry's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We never sell your data. We never use your Google data for advertising, for building advertising profiles, or to train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Our staff access your Google data only with your permission, to resolve a support request, for security purposes or where the law requires it.
Storage and security
Your data is stored with reputable cloud providers and is encrypted in transit and at rest. Google OAuth refresh tokens are additionally encrypted at the application level with AES-256-GCM before being stored, are never written to logs, and are only ever decrypted on our servers when a request to Google is made on your behalf. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised staff and protected by multi-factor authentication.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information we will notify you and any relevant regulator as the law requires.
Retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. When you disconnect a Google account we delete its OAuth tokens immediately. When you delete your Profitry account, or ask us to, we delete your personal information and all Google data associated with your workspace within 30 days, except for records we must keep by law and backups, which are overwritten on a rolling schedule. You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@profitry.com.au.
Revoking Profitry's access to your Google account
You can disconnect a Google account from within Profitry at any time. You can also revoke Profitry's access directly from Google by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions, selecting Profitry and choosing to remove access. Once access is revoked Profitry can no longer read or change your Google accounts.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us run Profitry, such as hosting, database, email and payment providers, and only to the extent needed for them to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to protect our rights, safety or property. We do not share your Google data with any other party for their own purposes.
Your rights
If you are in Australia, the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles give you the right to access and correct the personal information we hold about you and to complain about how we handle it. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the GDPR gives you rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our lawful bases for processing are the performance of our contract with you, your consent where you connect a Google account, and our legitimate interests in running and securing the service.
To exercise any of these rights contact us at privacy@profitry.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your Google data we will let you know by email.
